Troubleshooting & FAQ
Quick answers to the questions we hear most. Can't find yours? Ask your workspace owner, or contact support from the AtSocials website.
Why did my post fail?
Failed posts show on Home → Needs attention, in the bell and with a Needs attention badge in the calendar. Open the post to see the reason each network gave. The usual ones:
| What it says | What to do |
|---|---|
| Tokens expired, or the channel needs reconnecting | Go to Channels, click ⋯ → Reconnect, then Retry failed channels on the post. |
| Too many posts in the last 24 hours | The network limits how often apps can post. Spread posts out or retry later. |
| This site doesn't allow you to save Pins / link blocked | Pinterest refuses some links (short links, blocked domains). Use the full link to your own site. |
| Media upload failed / media expired | The file is too big, the wrong format for that network, or older than 7 days. Upload it again. |
| Instagram needs a photo or video | Instagram can't publish text on its own. Add media, or leave Instagram out. |
If only some channels failed, the post is Partly posted: the others went out as planned, and Retry failed channels only resends the failed ones.
A channel says "Needs reconnecting"
Networks end connections from time to time: when you change the account's password, remove the app's access, or after a set number of days (Facebook and Instagram do this regularly). Posts to that channel fail until you reconnect. Go to Channels and click Reconnect; your posts and history are kept.
My media says it's no longer available
Uploaded and AI-made files are stored for 7 days. AtSocials automatically keeps alive the files used by posts that haven't gone out yet, and brand images like your logo and slide design. If something did expire, the composer asks you to upload it again before scheduling, and the post owner gets a notification with a link to the post.
I can't find a page or button
- Your plan may not include it. Pages for features your plan doesn't have are hidden. Check Team & plan → Plan.
- Your role may not allow it. Client approvers only see Home, Calendar and Analytics; viewers can't create posts. Ask an owner or admin.
- The network may not support it. For example the Inbox needs channels whose networks share messages, and competitor tracking needs Instagram connected through Facebook.
- Press ⌘ K and type the page name to jump to it.
Analytics shows no numbers for a channel
Numbers come from the networks and can take a few hours to appear after posting. Some networks don't share every number (views, reach or saves), so those columns stay empty for them. Follower history starts from when the channel was connected.
AI says I've reached my limit
AI captions, images, videos and AI Strategist questions each have a monthly allowance on your plan. Each AI tab shows what's left, and failed attempts don't count. The allowance resets at the start of each month, or you can move to a bigger plan.
My post went out at the wrong time
Posts are scheduled in the brand's timezone, shown next to the dates in the composer and calendar. Check it on the Brand page. Changing the timezone doesn't move posts that are already scheduled.
Where will a queued post go out?
At the next free time on your posting schedule. Calendar → Posting times lists the next queue times. If you have no posting times, add some first.
Can I edit a post after it's published?
Only where the network allows it. Facebook, LinkedIn, X (within an hour, Premium only), Pinterest, Google Business, Reddit, Telegram, Discord and Slack allow text edits from the post's details. YouTube details can be changed with Edit YouTube details. Instagram, TikTok, Threads and Bluesky don't allow edits; for upcoming Instagram posts, use Fix Instagram posts.
If I delete a post in AtSocials, is it removed from the network?
Yes. Deleting a published post removes it from your calendar and deletes it from every channel it was published to. This can't be undone. To take it down from just one network and keep the rest, use Remove next to that channel in the post's details.
How do clients approve posts without an account?
Create a client review link in Team & plan and send it to them. They can approve or ask for changes in their browser, and the page shows your brand, not AtSocials.
